Children from Year 4 to 6 benefit from weekly Reasoning lessons.

This gives children the opportunity to apply skills learned in Maths and English to problem solving in different contexts.

Verbal reasoning involves children manipulating words and letters in order to complete letter substitutions and word puzzles, improving their vocabulary and observation skills.

Non-verbal reasoning requires children to find patterns and look for similarities and differences in sequences of shapes. It also involves solving number/letter code problems.  It can help to develop their logical and critical thinking.

An added benefit of studying reasoning is that children in Year 6 are well prepared for Secondary School entrance exams.
