About Us

We believe that every child should be given the chance to shine. Effort and enthusiasm, as well as attainment, are celebrated, to encourage everyone to achieve their best.

The original Windlesham School has undergone substantial development over the years to provide top quality facilities for our children and over 40 dedicated teaching staff. Cooper House, our most recent building, comprises classrooms, a computer suite, science room and swimming pool complex, enabling us to provide teaching over and above National Curriculum requirements. The school also has specialist music, French and art rooms, a hall and gymnasium.

Headmaster’s Welcome

Welcome to Windlesham School, one which celebrates excellence, rewards endeavour, encourages development, aids progress and offers care, compassion and friendship. We foster a holistic approach, treating every child as a creative individual and our focus is on providing a magical childhood experience. It is also about developing a passion for learning, a capacity for problem-solving, independent and critical thinking, self-awareness and resilience, self-confidence without arrogance and genuine interests that extend beyond the confines of the classroom. This ensures we have ample opportunities for the children to express themselves through art, drama, sport and music.

Our Windlesham School Values are a perfect guide that enable our children to become kind, thoughtful, courageous and intuitive young people well prepared to embrace their future. We are a non-selective school, because we believe that every child should be given the opportunity to find their talents. Our role is to help that process, creating an environment in which every pupil thrives. At Windlesham, we believe that education is a partnership between school, students, parents, and the wider community. Together, we can create an environment where our students thrive and develop into well-rounded, compassionate, and resilient individuals. Our warm family atmosphere in which all children are valued as individuals and are encouraged and inspired to reach their full potential within a disciplined yet caring environment. The children here are at the heart of the school and ensuring their happiness and wellbeing is key. For a mixed ability school, we have an excellent reputation for gaining significant numbers of scholarships for entry to top senior schools at across a range of disciplines. The school has strong, long-standing relationships with the senior schools in the area and Windlesham children are highly sought-after for their sound academic grounding, strong sense of community spirit and overall zest for life. We believe strongly that all pupils can fulfil their potential when their efforts are valued, shared and celebrated.

Please do come and visit us to gain a deeper understanding of what a special place Windlesham is.

I look forward to introducing you to our school.
